While it looks about like what you would expect an inspection screen to look, it is the integration that puts it in a class of its own. This window can collect data for SPC as well as attribute data. The counter can be set to read from the machine. When you scan or input the serial number from the material tags, it provides the basis for lot traceability as well as the ability to do yield reporting. We can also have the program read gages used during the inspection. When an inspection results in parts that are out of tolerance, it requires an explanation and alerts Quality personnel. If the tooling produces more than one type of part at a time, the inspection automatically brings up the associated parts for inspection after the check of the first part is completed. If the required inspections do not occur or do not occur on a timely basis, system-wide processes alert Quality Department personnel of the situation. As you would expect, all previous inspections are searchable and printable. Notice the Gage/Test Instructions tab which includes pertinent instructions for inspection along with the QS-9000 required information. |
